Joshua Polanco

Hello! My name is Joshua Polanco, and I am a filmmaker based in Vancouver, BC.

My passion for film really started when I watched Hot Fuzz and thought, “Whoa, movies can be… weird. I love that.” Since then, I have become increasingly curious about filmmaking and the process of creating them. I soon fell in love with shooting, taking all that footage, and creating something out of all these pieces. It felt like magic.

That curiosity and passion have led me to work with some amazing people. I have worked with Musora (an online music learning platform), Simon Fraser University, Rob Scallon (a personal guitar hero of mine), and some great organizations that I believe are changing the world for the better.

In my free time, you can catch me making silly guitar videos, playing board games, or trying to defeat the hardest boss in Elden Ring.
